About Us

The Champlain Valley Down Syndrome Group (CVDSG) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit founded in March 2010 with the vision of creating a community of families in the Champlain Valley Region who have a child or family member with Down syndrome. From that initial meeting, the CVDSG has grown to include over 90 families in Vermont and Upstate New York.

Parents First Call Program

Our trained parent mentors who have also received a Down syndrome diagnosis for their child are available for confidential conversations and can provide resources and information.

Our Community

We learned about CVDSG soon after receiving a prenatal Down syndrome diagnosis and were very warmly welcomed. We are so glad that this community exists and feel lucky to be a part of it. The events are fun, we've made new friends, and we look forward to staying engaged with the group as our daughter grows."
