The 9th Annual Champlain Valley Buddy Walk took place at Burlington’s Battery Park on Sunday, October 8, with 125 people participating in this event. The weather was cool and overcast, though fortunately the rain ended earlier in the day and the entire walk was dry. It was a great day to visit with old friends and to welcome new members to the group.
This walk, sponsored by the Champlain Valley Down Syndrome Group, was one of 250 Walks across the country held this fall to raise awareness and funds for programs that benefit people with Down syndrome and their families. This year’s walk was made possible with the generous support of Dore u0026amp; Whittier Architects, CCS Constructors, Inc., the People’s United Bank Foundation, and Little City Speech and Language.
The date for the 10th Annual Champlain Valley Buddy Walk has not yet been selected, but is typically held in early October. Check back here for more details about next year’s walk.
